Pre-school and Afterschool Rooms  At Helping Hands Daycare, the Pre-school room caters for children 2 years 10 months to 4 years of age. The pre-school room is located to the front of the building and provides a large homely space for your child. The large windows allow for lots of natural sun light and the room is bright and welcoming. The pre-school room has its own toilets area adjacent to the room, providing easy access for the children. The emphasis in the pre-school room is learning through play, we implement the Pre-school curriculum and aim to prepare the children for nursery or primary school in the six key stages of learning. This is achieved through personal, social and emotional development, early mathematical development, and language and communication development. Also, Physical Development, creative development and knowledge and understanding of the world around us. There will be lots of sand and water play, science, books, dough, junk art, displays and much more. They will enjoy lots of outdoor activities and outings, (parents will be asked for consent upon registration.) to ensure your little ones have a fun packed day! Afterschool Room  At helping Hands Daycare we provide a school pick up service for children attending the after school club. Children are allowed to relax after a long day at school and enjoy a healthy snack and drink before choosing their own activities and games to play. Home works can be completed at the request of the parents.
At Helping Hands Daycare we also offer a wraparound service, we have a breakfast club and will drop off children to their school/nursery unit and pick up again to return to the setting.

Peags – Funded Pre-School Places Helping Hands Daycare provides funded pre-school places for children in their pre-school year. We welcome children from all cultural, social and religious backgrounds. In our pre-school we cherish and nurture our pupils, recognising that every child is different and that we must value their uniqueness. We especially want them to learn, to be happy and to have fun. Through the Pre-School Curriculum we aim to prepare the children for primary school in the six key elements of learning, i.e.

• The world around us Funded Pre-school Hours The pre-school sessions run from Monday to Friday 9:30am – 12:00pm during term time. An information pack can be obtained from the main office.
